Bargad has instituted training and workshops for students and non students as one of its regular programmes. These training workshops are designed and conducted by the team of Bargad free of costs for organizations and educational institutes.

Resume Development and Cover Letter Writing Skills:
This training programme by Bargad provided participant-students with an understanding of resume development and the communication skills necessary for writing successful cover letters for jobs, internship opportunities and other professional openings.

A working knowledge of the skills required for personal presentation in job interviews was also briefly tackled.

The training will enable student-participants of this session to draft and finalize resumes and cover letters that are clear, concise, visually pleasing, effective, and easy to read. A special focus is given to techniques to write resumes and letters that are compatible with electronic communication.

Training workshops on social research methodology
We organized two training workshops to impart knowledge, understanding and techniques of social research methodology to 50 male and female members of our core group members. All of them were undergraduate students and literate youth of the community.

To this end, quantitative social research methodologies were instructed in an interactive, participatory and practice-based manner. It is a matter of pride that within the course of 5 days, each group was able to submit a collaborative research report at the end of the event applying field research, survey, interviewing and observation skills obtained during the workshops.

Training workshop on human rights and gender equality
Bargad organized a four days training workshop on “Human rights and gender equality” with 25 of its core group members at its office on August 17-20, 2003. Iqbal Haider Butt was the moderator.

Module of this workshop was specifically tailored for an undergraduate audience so that they are ready to learn human rights and gender equality as part of their personal and social lives, and are inspired for an attitudinal change.

The workshop revolved around the Universal Declaration of Human Rights (UDHR) as its point of reference and it blends knowledge with skills and attitudes towards rights and social dynamics.

Training on networking and mobilization of youth
A workshop was organized to impart training on Networking and Mobilization of the Youth. The workshop comprised of trainings on definition of Mobilization, issues of Mobilization, Group Formation skills, Need Assessment, and Framing of the work.

Training Workshop on Report Writing:
One day workshop was organized by Bargad at Wazirabad to train the participants from different organizations to write reports of the projects.
The resource person was Mohammad Mushtaq from INSAAN foundation lectured the participants.

Training on “Peace and Youth Action”
Peace, Democracy and conflict Resolution were the main topics of concern. The objective of the workshop was to enhance the ability for group work among students. Students were trained on how to play positive role in conflict. And consequently prove that peace can eliminate violence.
