ad’s Faith in Action Project, members of Local Peace Structures (LPS) from Muslim and Christian communities came together to implement a community-led Social Action Project that celebrated unity, compassion, and shared responsibility. Through the joint distribution of refreshments during Muharram and the establishment of a Green Sabeel with plant distribution, community members demonstrated how small acts of kindness can strengthen social cohesion, foster interfaith harmony, inspire environmental responsibility, and contribute to sustainable peace at the grassroots level. ive 🌱 Bargad’s Local Peace Structure (LPS) members established another Green Sabeel, continuing a meaningful community tradition for the third consecutive year. This initiative reflects the commitment of local communities to promoting social cohesion, interfaith harmony, and collective responsibility at the grassroots level. Beyond distributing refreshments among community members during Muharram, LPS members also distributed plants under the powerful message: “Aik Poda Insaniyat Ke Naam, Aik Poda Hussainiyat Ke Naam,” connecting service, compassion, and environmental responsibility through faith-based climate action. 🌿 This year’s Sabeel was led by Christian LPS members, beautifully reflecting the spirit of inclusion and interfaith solidarity. As part of the activity, shawls were presented to religious and community leaders, while female LPS members also presented shawls to women participants as a gesture of respect and solidarity. The management of the Imam Bargah appreciated the efforts of Bargad LPS members and emphasized that community-led initiatives like these play an important role in strengthening unity, promoting peaceful coexistence, and carrying forward the message of harmony for future generations.
